It’s time to think about getting our roses ready for winter, so John will take us through the things we can do now to give our roses a healthy start next year.

Our annual Rose Auction is on Thursday the 21st. This is our major fund raising event of the year. We’ll open at 6:00 PM, then the auction starts at 6:30 PM.

Here’s another short post that covers some recurring questions from new members, with answers. Thanks for continuing to make this a legendary Rose Society.

John will talk about what kind of fertilizer is best for our roses and other amendments we can add like alfalfa. See more about alfalfa in the Pg 2 Q&A.

By 1911 Tacoma had been featuring rose activities for almost 20 years. So you can see, roses have been a big part of Tacoma activities since the early days.

Our meeting at 7 pm starts with getting the garden ready for Winter. Our guest speaker Duane Scheidemantle will then share his work with cold hardy roses.
