TRS members will be at the rose society booth throughout the show to answer rose growing questions. Handouts on rose topics, society memberships, and area nurseries are available.

        Program: How to Prune your Rosebushes

        TRS Consulting Rosarians will share with you all the tips on winter pruning of your rose garden, how to prune to improve the health of your bushes, ways to encourage more flowering or larger flowers, how to shape climbers and shrubs and more.

        Cliff and Jim will be there with pruner sharpening tools and techniques to help you get those pruners in prime working condition. Meeting begins at 7:30 pm.

            Time: 9 a.m. to completion

            Lunch: 12 noon in the Lodge nearby, potluck

Come learn  to prune from the experts of the Tacoma Rose Society (through hands-on experience, no less!). Pruning demonstrations on all varieties, from hybrid teas to the tall, gangly climbers. Dress for the weather.  Equipment needed: gloves, pruners, and a knee rest. (We usually have an extra set of pruners available if you have none to bring.) Stay for lunch and rosy chatter with us in the beautiful lodge building to the north of the rose garden.
